IMGT taxon abbreviations

IMGT taxon abbreviations are represented in a 6-letter code which comprises the 3 first letters from the genus name and the 3 first letters from the species name.

Examples:: Musmus for Mus musculus; Mussax for Mus saxicola; Muspah for Mus pahari

For the human species, the word "Human" is used.
