CLASSIFICATION

The 'CLASSIFICATION' axiom is one of the seven axioms of the Formal IMGT-ONTOLOGY or IMGT-Kaleidoscope [1-3].

The 'CLASSIFICATION' axiom postulates that molecules, cells, organs, organisms or populations and their processes and relations have to be classified. In molecular immunogenetics, the 'CLASSIFICATION' axiom postulates that IG and TR genes have to be named and classified [4,5]. The 'CLASSIFICATION' axiom has generated concepts of classification, for example:
