Protein displays

IMGT Protein displays [1-4] are alignments of translated sequences of immunoglobulin (IG), T cell receptor (TR) and major histocompatibility (MH).

Protein displays are also available for domains from chains other than IG, TR or MH.

IG and TR

Protein displays are available, in IMGT repertoire (IG and TR), for:

• V-REGIONs, D-REGIONs, J-REGIONs which correspond to the "core" coding region of the germline V-GENEs, D-GENEs and J-GENEs, respectively [1-4].
• C-DOMAINs
• V-DOMAINs which correspond to the V-J-REGION or V-D-J-REGION of the IG or TR chains [5].

Except if indicated, only the protein sequence of the first allele of each functional or ORF gene is shown. Other alleles are available in Alignments of alleles and Tables of alleles (IMGT Repertoire).

Protein display numbering:

• The V-REGIONs (from germline sequences) are displayed using the IMGT unique numbering for V-REGION (IMGT Scientific chart) [6,7] and with the FR-IMGT and CDR-IMGT delimitations.
• The D-REGIONs and J-REGIONs (from germline sequences) are displayed using the IMGT unique numbering for coding regions (Overview)
• The V-DOMAINs are displayed using the IMGT unique numbering for V-DOMAIN and V-LIKE-DOMAIN (IMGT Scientific chart) [7].
• The C-DOMAINs are displayed using the IMGT unique numbering for C-DOMAIN and C-LIKE-DOMAIN (IMGT Scientific chart).

MH

Protein displays are available, in IMGT Repertoire (MH), for:

• G-DOMAIN
• C-LIKE-DOMAIN.

Protein display numbering:

• The G-DOMAINs are displayed using the IMGT unique numbering for G-DOMAIN and G-LIKE-DOMAIN (IMGT Scientific chart)
• The C-LIKE-DOMAINs are displayed using the IMGT unique numbering for C-DOMAIN and C-LIKE-DOMAIN (IMGT Scientific chart).

Chains other than IG, TR and MH

Protein display numbering:

• The V-LIKE-DOMAINs are displayed using the IMGT unique numbering for V-DOMAIN and V-LIKE-DOMAIN (IMGT Scientific chart) [7].
• The C-LIKE-DOMAINs are displayed using the IMGT unique numbering for C-DOMAIN and C-LIKE-DOMAIN (IMGT Scientific chart).
• The G-LIKE-DOMAINs are displayed using the IMGT unique numbering for G-DOMAIN and G-LIKE-DOMAIN (IMGT Scientific chart).
