Notch receptors

Notch receptors are large transmembrane proteins. Their extracellular domains contain tandem epidermal growth factor repeats, and the intracellular domain contains six ankyrin repeats and a carboxyl-terminal PEST sequence.

In mammals, there are at least four Notch family members that can interact with DNA-binding protein which plays a key role in transcriptional regulation.
