IMGT Scientific chart

IMGT Scientific chart [1] comprises standardized rules for the sequence description, the numbering [2], and the nomenclature [3-9] of the immunoglobulins (IG), T cell receptors (TR), major histocompatibility complex (MHC) and related proteins of the immune system (RPI) of human and other vertebrate species, belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily (IgSF) and to the MHC superfamily (MhcSF).

The IMGT Scientific chart has been set up in order to provide the highest data quality in IMGT, the international ImMunoGeneTics information system® http://www.imgt.org. IMGT Scientific chart rules are based on the IMGT-ONTOLOGY concepts.
